ROYAL 09, a general cargo ship had dropped anchor some distance away from the Dong Nai Bridge which is North East Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
Unfortunately a high tide hit the ship dragging her upstream which caused her to hit the bridge.
This accident occurred at around 1620 ICT ( UTC +7) on April 15.
The traffic on the bridge was averted while the bridge sustained slight damages.
The ships stern suffered some loss.
In about an hour, 3 tugs were used to pull out the ship and bring it to standstill at a safe location.
Nobody was injured in this incident and traffic also has been resumed.
